Dr. Li spent years specializing in vaginal and vulval reconstruction — the surgeon gynecologic-oncology teams asked for by name when their patients needed rebuilding after cancer treatment. That same expertise now serves two very different groups of patients at LA Breast & Body.

Vaginal reconstruction after cancer or radiation

Surgery and radiation for gynecologic conditions — benign and malignant — can leave the vagina and vulva scarred, narrowed, or partly absent. Reconstruction rebuilds and restores: releasing scarred tissue, restoring the vaginal canal, and reconstructing the vulva using techniques drawn from the same reconstructive toolkit Dr. Li uses in breast surgery. These operations are planned in coordination with your oncology team, at the pace your treatment allows.

Vaginal tightening (vaginoplasty)

Childbirth and time can stretch the vaginal canal and its supporting muscles in ways that pelvic floor exercise alone may not correct. Vaginoplasty surgically tightens the canal and rebuilds muscular support. For women considering it, the conversation with Dr. Li is private and practical: what bothers you, what surgery can and cannot change, and what recovery involves.

Scope of this practice

LA Breast & Body offers reconstructive and cosmetic vaginal surgery. The practice does not perform gender-affirming procedures.
